The Demand
Cast iron parts are safely used in clean and non-aggressive waters but they can be subject to corrosion where salt, alkali or diluted acid concentrations are present.

Furthermore, every melting process produces uneven surfaces thus limiting the pumps efficiency.

The Rovatti Solution
Rovatti electrochemical protective coating improves corrosion resistance, improving quality of the surfaces in contact with pumped water ,to benefit hydraulic efficiency.

This process is characterized by adhesion forces significantly higher than normal painting processes.  5% Salty Mist test at 35°C (ASTM B117) has recorded more than 500 hours resistance.

The combination of cast iron impellers with Rovatti electrochemical protective coating, stainless steel shaft, chromium plated brass bushes and impeller locking by standardised keys, allows easy pump rotor maintenance.
